The Pandemic has been hard on so many all across the world and in so many ways.
So many of my creative friends are finding it hard to cope. Not just financially, but mentally as well. Fear and anxiety about the disease and isolation can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions making it difficult to concentrate and function on a creative level.
I am indeed one of the lucky ones, I have been able to work from home and have found that by focusing on artistic endeavors I have been able to deal with the anxiety of what is happening around me.
I have always tried to promote creativity as a way to cope with stress and anxiety, and I am making an extra effort these past few months. I have sent out challenges to my art clubs, friends and coworkers and am happy to say that many have created beautiful art and found the practice to be quite therapeutic.
Need an escape? Try a new art form, create something from nothing, or just doodle. I think you will find the act of creating will release some of the stress, and may even make you smile!
Have fun,
Caroline Andrews
